RESEARCH INTERESTS:  How social and organizational contexts shape academic work in four interrelated areas: (1) how faculty integrate teaching, research, and service; (2) how state, institutional, and departmental policies influence the nature and characteristics of faculty work; (3) how faculty teaching and organizational climate affect student learning; and (4) how faculty balance professional and personal responsibilities.
